Great place to stop by for a lunch special. Service is fast and you get a good amount of food for it being a lunch size.

Great stop for a quick delicious lunch. The service was quick and our food was delicious. The restaurant is small with only two tables seating four and a bar area is small also. This place is known more for its carry-out.

Just moved to east county and have been looking for a good sushi spot with delivery and good prices! fish is super fresh i def will be coming back for more!

my fav sushi spot on the east side! HYPES: i love getting the hawaiian & the thunder! these sushi options melt in my mouth and leave my tummy feeling full and satisfied! top it off with their fried calamari and you have yourself the PERFECT MEAL! they do take out primarily so you can enjoy your food in the comfort of your home. its just sooooo good! GRIPES: prices are a bit much, but worth it! 5 stars from me!

Great affordable take-out sushi spot in La Mesa. Although they do have a couple of booths and three or four chairs with a sushi bar, they don't do table service. I personally don't mind that as we usually get it to-go anyway. What keeps us coming back is how good and affordable the prices are. Whenever I'm in the area, I make it an effort to get my sushi fix, and it always hits.

Had 2 orders of Nabeyaki Udon to-go but our orders were missing the shrimp tempura, which we noticed after arriving at home. Aside from the missing shrimp, the flavor was pretty nice. I usually get ramen or soba noodle soups, but the udon was a good texture. For takeaway, the soup came put together already & not separated, which I didn't mind. We got flakes on the side. For $11, it's a pretty good meal for a 20min wait It's quite small inside, 2 tables & about 8 bar top seats.

A great affordable option for sushi in La Mesa, but be prepared to wait or do takeout as the place is small. Only two tables and a couple of seats by the window are available to dine in, so we saw many customers doing takeout. The utensils and plates are also all takeout making Narumi a casual spot. Spicy Yellowtail Handroll (4/5): Convenient if you don't want to commit to a roll. The yellowtail they use was really fresh here. The spice comes from a spicy mayo so it wasn't spicy at all though. Maki Maki (3.5/5): Salmon and yellowtail are the main fish in this roll. Toppings were loaded with freshly chopped jalapeno and sesame seed. I t was a fresh tasting roll but more heavy from the cream cheese. Truck Stop Roll (5/5): Similar to the maki maki, this also contains salmon inside and yellowtail on top. I liked this one more only because the ponzu, chili oil and green onions were more cohesive toppings. Protein Rainbow Roll (5/5): Very vibrant and lots of fish and toppings in this one! It's a no rice roll so you are getting all the good stuff, shrimp, tuna, crab, salmon, yellowtail, and albacore are all included. Really delicious and does provide all the protein! Overall, I enjoyed the rolls at Narumi and found it to be very satisfying. They do differ from a lot of casual sushi restaurants in San Diego in that their rolls are higher quality and not all with filler imitation krab. They offer more with handrolls, cooked entrees, nigiris, lunch specials, bentos, and lots more.
